All SAFERhome certified building inspectors are required to be members of ASTTBC (Association for Technology Professionals in BC). ASTTBC Mission statement reads: To serve the public by regulating and supporting Technology Professional's commitment to a safe, healthy and sustainable society and environment.

       SAFERhome Certified Building Inspector are entitled to these benefits:

- Subscription to SAFERhome newsletter and additional free copies for promotion
- Accessing education and training at a discounted rate
- Attendance at SAFERhome's AGM with one vote

       How to become a SAFERhome certified building inspector:

1. To be eligible ASTTBC member ID is required
2. Register for SAFERhome membership and pay exam fee (see downloads below)
3. Study material and the exam will be sent
4. Complete exam and return to SAFERhome for marking
5. Upon passing, a certificate will be issued
