Course Description
As our aging marketplace evolves, it is the REALTOR® who can best assist people to find the appropriate housing to meet their needs. A REALTOR® is the front line advisor to most real estate transactions. In this position he/she can deliver benefits to the consumer by having the knowledge of what specific phrases to include in an interim agreement for new construction. These phrases will ensure the purchaser gets a home by contract that will include a building standard which will allow the client to age-in-place and live a more sustainable lifestyle. Further a REALTOR® can also deliver the ability to recognize in an existing home potential for renovation to allow for universal design options.
The goal of this 5-hour course is to assist a REALTOR® to become a more effective professional advisor in his/her ability to recognize the needs of the aging and changing universal housing marketplace; and to elevate the ability to deliver real and tangible housing solutions on how people can live more sustainable, inclusive and independent lifestyles in their homes while at the same time protecting and increasing clients’ real estate value.
