SAFERhome Certification Forms (Pre-registration, Inspector Request and Membership Application)

Step 1: Congratulations on completing the first step! You have made the wise decision to build a SAFERhome certified home or project.
Step 2: Register as a SAFERhome member.
Step 3: Fill out the pre-registration form for your project and mail it together with your pre-registration payment to SAFERhome.
Note: Where applicable, to safeguard add the following clause to your builder's/developer's or real estate contract "subject to proof of SAFERhome certification".
Step 4: Contact our knowledgeable staff for help or any questions. (Your pre-registration entitles you to technical and other support, as well as exposure for your project on our website.)
Step 5: Build your home(s) / project(s).
Step 6: Contact one of our SAFERhome certified building inspectors to set up a time for the inspection. (Ideally, inspections are done before dry-walling.)
Step 7: Once the inspection is passed and the per unit fee is paid, the inspector will register your home(s)/unit(s) with the SAFERhome Central Registry Office.
Step 8: The SAFERhome certificate and registration numbers for each home(s)/units(s) will be sent.
Step 9: All home(s)/unit(s) are now listed in our registry database. This searchable database is available to purchasers and Realtors searching for SAFERhome certified properties.
Step 10: For builders/developers: start expanding your reputation as a builder who sells homes that look better, work better and are worth more!
